Save money on thread! Use the larger cones rather than the small spools. This is easy to do with any sewing machine. You should be aware that not all thread is created equal. Just as with small spools, serger thread can come in “cheap” form as well. Never use “linty” thread in any machine, serger or sewing machine. Most serger threads are thinner than some sewing machine threads. If you’re working on an heirloom project, check into high quality quilting thread that comes in cones.
