Did you find a pattern you LOVE but it’s just a bit short waisted, or maybe the legs are too long? The good news is you can lengthen or shorten any pattern, exactly where you need it. Some patterns may be trickier than others (multiple pieces) but it can still be done.
Tips for lengthening and shortening anything
Always make a muslin first! Your muslin fabric should be similar to the fabric you plan to use for your final piece. If you’re making a dress that requires knit fabric with drape, don’t make a muslin out of quilting cotton.
