Playing games as a family is fun for the kids AND the parents. It’s not just passing time, it’s making memories! If your family loves card games as much as we do you’ll want to add some of these card games for families to your collection! 
These are mostly all great for kids about 6-8 and up. Some kids that are younger are able to play these just fine but each game has an age recommendation on it to give you a good idea of what to expect. I have to admit that I haven’t played Dutch Blitz yet. As I was searching for games I found it and it has such rave reviews I had to add it to this list. I’ve played all the rest and we love them! Most of these games have been around in one form or another for decades. It is time to add some newer games. Fluxx, Sushi Go, Love Letter or Hanabi. For more strategy, find Dominion and Smash Up. All of these games a typical 6 year old could play yet are still fun for adults. Fluxx, Smash Up, and Dominion require the ability to read, so that will impact who can play. I borrowed Sushi Go and the kids loved it. It will be under the tree this year.
