The Sugar Plum nightgown actually runs small. I made 'em for my girls and they're a nightmare to get on and off. If anyone else is gonna make one, go one size up from what the measurements say you need.

Welcome! I'm currently solving the problem by slitting the back, adding a continuous lap, and a button and loop at the top.

I didn't find they ran small at all! It seemed just right for the sizes I made (6 and 7). I did have a bit of an issue with the 18" doll sizes being a bit tight though. Interesting.
