All the walls in my house were freshly painted last year. I haven't put one single thing on the walls since then. I'm searching for some DIY wall art inspiration and right now I'm really loving these. They're all simple enough even I could make these but they leave a big impact.
DIY Wall Art I'm loving...
When I saw the close up photo of this wall art (Sugar & Cloth) I was so surprised! I really love this. It's pretty brilliant. I'm imagining that it would be fun to change out the colors and even make seasonal designs. I'd love to combine the idea with the hexies below somehow.
These hexagon shelves (a beautiful mess) make me want to run out to the garage and grab the saw. My office could use these. I'm imagining them full of colorful large spools of thread & cute knick knacks. Maybe a tiny sewing machine.
This scrap map (see kate sew) is a perfect use for scraps. If you don't sew much bum some off your sewing friends. She's got instructions for making this. I'd love to make a world map but it seems a bit ambitious.
This DIY fish scale art (two thirty-five designs) is so simple and yet it makes a big impact. Don't you think? It's insanely easy. I'm imagining this on a huge scale.
String art (one little mama) isn't just for kids anymore. This used to be a camp craft project but it's been sophisticated and creates a fun, unique piece of art. In fact, this Girl With a Pearl Earring string art is amazing.
