Today’s DIY Style includes the Denver dress in the best knit, ever. It’s like wearing a sweater dress with gold dots. Yes. If you’re a curvy girl you’ll want to make this version of the Denver, pronto.
You might have noticed the blur in the front. Taking photos in a house full of children is actually harder than you might think. Oh, and this is my office. It’s amazing. And this is about as clean as it gets. I might have shoved a few things out of the frame to make it look cleaner than it was. But it’s well used. And cheerful.
This dress is so casual but when paired with this blazer it feels dressy. Plus, gold dots. If you work in an office this would definitely pass for business wear.
Pattern: Denver
Options: Dress length, flared, cap sleeves, no pockets.
Fabric: Gold dot, heather taupe interlock knit from JoAnn.
Size: I’m a size medium for my high bust/full bust and a size large in the waist and hips. I cut a size medium blended out to a large for the waist and hips. I like the fit. If you prefer a roomier dress then go a size up.
Alterations: I shortened the dress 2 inches. Short legs and what not.
If you like the Denver dress you can pick up the pattern in the Unbiased Collection for Pattern Anthology. It’s only available in the collection until next year.
