There are some DIY projects you see and think, "Oh, that's actually really nice!" And then there are some you see and your jaw drops in amazement. Well Reddit user alkikat takes the award for out DIYing everyone else this year. She crocheted her own wedding dress on her morning commute. And it's simply gorgeous. Did I mention it only cost her $30? Who knew a crocheted wedding dress could be so stunning?!
Supplies used:
- 2 of the larger skeins of Aunt Lydia's size 10 cotton thread on sale for about $7 ea
- Fabric for lining
- Thread for sewing

"I just winged it. I don't use patterns but I've crocheted a few dresses before this one (short dresses). This dress is basically a tube that flares out at the bottom and a top attached to the tube."

Well done, alkikat!

Absolutely stunning! I used to knit all my children's jerseys while watching them play their sports. Just shows you how much time is wasted when you just sit there and do nothing. I really love her pineapple design too!

All your life you will remember not only the wedding day itself, but also the pre-wedding preparation. So make sure that these are the most pleasant memories, and go to the best salons. It is not only a pleasant atmosphere, professional and sensitive consultants, but also additional services. For example, you can adjust the dress to fit and arrange delivery of the outfit on the appointed day.
