I sewed up the City Girl Frock today! Love it!!! This is a super comfortable top. It was the final of the 4 Just Add Jeans tops I had to sew and I can't wait to sew more!
Pattern:
City Girl Frock & Top from See Kate Sew for the Just Add Jeans Collection
Size:
Medium bust graded out to Large at the hips. Because of the change I made to the hemline (see below) this was perfect. Giving the top a bit of swing.
Pattern options/changes:
I made a slight high-low hemline because I love them. Used the ¾ length sleeve and followed the pattern otherwise.
Fabric:
Gray heavy ponte knit from Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft.
What I would do differently:
Next time I will make the sleeves slightly shorter. I love, love the ponte knit but it is a big heavy for the cowl. Perfect for winter but when (if?) it ever warms up here I'll be making a City Girl from a lighter fabric. Maybe a lightweight sweater knit.
It was FREEZING while I took these photos. I was really glad this top is warm! When does the Midwest get spring weather???
This is a really comfortable top. Coupled with the cozy ponte knit, this could easily be a go-to top until the weather hits something somewhat warm.
The City Girl Frock available 40% off in the Just Add Jeans bundle until March 24th at midnight!

You and the top look great! Ponte knit is one of my favorites, but I've yet to try it for myself. Maybe I should!

I LOVE this! It looks so comfy and cozy. But even though I love your City Girl, I hope it warms up soon!!

I too love those glasses!
I made the City Girl on Friday in a jersey knit. It sticks a bit and I find myself pulling at it a bit and straightening. I still love it - it's in a beautiful shade of red/coral that I got from a fabric outlet. Definitely planning to make more!
Love your top!
