It was our first experience with AirBNB and will definitely not be our last. If you’re not familiar with the company, it is a housing rental/sharing site where you can find places to rent around the world. 
Plan a little in advance and you can find some really cool places to stay, anywhere you want to go. We found this amazingly furnished home in German Village. With old brick streets and all the charm (and delicious restaurants!) of one of our favorite Columbus neighborhoods, this house was a winner for us. It had two bedrooms and 3 great living/seating areas. Plus a huge, gourmet kitchen and dining room. The kids didn’t want to leave. I don’t blame them. It was clean bright and open! The owners use it as their second home and aren’t there very often. But it still has a homey feel. The home is professionally cleaned between each guest stay. We were totally satisfied with how clean it was. 
The kitchen was stocked and perfect, if I had wanted to cook anything! With a commercial oven and refrigerator this would be a great place to host a dinner party! 
We spent our time exploring the neighborhood on foot and playing games. The kids got along beautifully, which leads me to believe the home has some sort of magical quality. They found the house especially fun for a marathon game of hide and seek.

- Search Airbnb.com for the city, date and specifics that suit your needs.
- Read the rules of the homes you’re interested in. Some have very specific rules you need to know before booking.
- Allow 24 hours for the host to approve your stay. This is not a last minute type arrangement so book in advance!
- Have fun and leave the home as you found it! Remember that not only do you get to rate the home/host, but they get to rate you as a guest! Be a good guest!
