Eww, gross. 5 things you forget to cleaning but really should! Get to work! We often forget the every day little things! Don’t let the disgusting bacteria and germs build up and spread!
1.Hairbrushes and combs.

3. Your pillows.
Your pillows collect skin cells, dirt, dust mites and more. Wash your pillows once every three months.
- Wash 2 pillows on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Use an extra rinse.
- Line dry foam pillows.
- Use low heat to dry all other pillows. Put a couple clean tennis balls in the dryer to re-fluff the pillows.
4. Your cell phone.
A 2011 study from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine found that one in six cell phones is tainted with fecal matter (source). Say WHAT? Yuck. Clean that phone. Also, wash your hands!
I went straight to the source to find out how to clean your touch screen. “Use only a soft, lint-free cloth. Abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels, and similar items may cause damage to the item.”
So skip the abrasive cleaners! If you must use a cleaner use a tiny drop of dish soap in a bowl of warm water then barely wet your lint-free cloth and carefully clean, making sure to not get phone wet inside!
Sponges get dirty and harbor bacteria. You NEED to clean them frequently! If you don’t want to clean your dirty dishes and your counter top with germs then you need to disinfect them daily or every other day. Try one of these methods:
- Run through the dishwasher
- Soak it in water then zap in microwave (be careful it will be hot)
- Soak in a mixture of 1 tablespoon of bleach in 2 cups of water.
