Setting the Thanksgiving Table

Setting the table for Thanksgiving, or any event or holiday, is really fun for some people, and totally overrated for others. I’m a bit more on the overrated end of the spectrum but I do appreciate a pretty plate, a nice napkin and something fun.

Tablescapes (1 of 8)

This Thanksgiving we’ll be using our name placecards, new cloth napkins and this fun centerpiece.

Name Placecards (tutorial here):

  • Phoomph  (by Coats & Clark, find it at JoAnn Fabric & Crafts)
  • Fabric scraps
  • Paper with printed or handwritten names


Cloth Napkins (tutorial here):
  • 2 yards of fabric (makes 8 napkins)
  • coordinating thread
  • iron

Flower Centerpiece:
  • Burlap bag
  • chalkcloth (found at JoAnn Fabric & Crafts)
  • Embroidery floss
  • Chalk
