How to Use a Seam Ripper Properly

The first time I saw this video by Pam Damour I couldn’t believe I had never known this! Do you know what the little ball on your seam ripper is for? If not, you definitely need to spend 2 minutes watching this video. If you already know, you must have taken home ec! Sit back and learn how to use a seam ripper properly! 

Note: the seam ripper can cause holes if you go too quickly so do a little practicing to get the hang of it!

    I thought this would be faster but worried I would cut through my fabric. Guess what? I cit through my fabric. I’ll keep going with the labor intensive seam ripping to protect my curtains!

    Yikes! I wouldn’t dare use the seam ripper like this for fear of cutting the fabric, which is really easy to do with a sharp seam ripper. It looks great, and it might work great for some, but I don’t like to take the chance. I’ve cut the fabric before, and it’s VERY frustrating.
